TM = Richard Niessen & Esther de Vries are graphic designers based in Amsterdam, who share the interest in dense collaborations with clients or autonomous projects. They do not believe in just a representation, they always tend to produce ‘new’ works, making full use of the production process. In stead of one clear concept they seek durability through richness in layers. They like to emphasize the materiality and to avoid references: each work generates it’s own universe. Their most spectacuar work so far is “TM-city,” an installation produced in 2007 for the Jesuit Chapel in Chaumont, France. “TM-city” is a modular exhibition of TM’s work in the shape of an urban landscape.

Growing up, his dream job was special effects for sci-fi feature movies. Devouring comics and magazines, he tried to create zombies masks with kitchen gloves and latex… It didn’t really work. At an age when teenagers waste their time trying to seduce the opposite sex, Patrick Magnin thought better of it. He put his thoughts on paper: sketching monsters, dragons and imaginary landscapes. His talent got him into art school and he ended up with a diploma in Graphic Design. Today at the age of 35, it’s under the name of Drawing Plan that Patrick - either on paper or on a computer - keeps exploring new territories.

Drawer. Born in 79. Living in Hamburg. The first and the last thing in my day is drawing. I try to describe my world, my thoughts, my views on the real world with my drawings and paintings. Riding my skateboard changes my views. I love to publish small zines with my works and thoughts. This comes around with my love for sketchbooks, all things in books. I run a small label called THE LOUSY LIVINCOMPANY. Under this name I do my favorite t-shirt designs and produce them in small editions, so my friends can wear them too.
